Recipe importer
Paste a recipe URL into Cooking Companion and get a kitchen-ready ingredients and steps view.
Import is the first move
Bookmarking a recipe saves the link. Importing it pulls the structure into a layout built for cooking. Same recipe, fewer fights with the original page.
In Cooking Companion you paste the URL, wait for the parse, then check that ingredients and steps look complete before you start heating oil.
Keep the original around
Photos, baker notes, and reader comments sometimes still help. Keep the source tab for that. Use the imported view when you are actually measuring and stirring.
If you need to change yield later, start from the clean ingredient list. Guessing doubles from a half-scrolled blog post is how you get salty soup.
What it does not import (yet)
The current flow is built around web recipe URLs. A photo of a cookbook page is a different problem. Check the product page if you are wondering what shipped since this guide was written.

Compare against the source page before you cook. Fix the list in your head (or on paper) rather than trusting a broken parse.
