Pediatric BP percentiles for clinicians
How Pediatric Blood Pressure helps look up 2017 AAP percentiles by gender, age, and height during a visit.
Pediatric blood pressure still lives in percentile tables. Mid-visit, flipping pages while a child fidgets wastes attention you need for everything else in the room.
Pediatric Blood Pressure is a small iOS app for that lookup. You choose gender, enter age and height, and read the bands. If you have a measured systolic and diastolic pair, you can enter those too and see which percentile they sit near.
The numbers follow the 2017 AAP Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents. Adult cutoffs will mislead you here. Height matters. Same age, different height, different expected bands.
What it will not do: diagnose hypertension, fix a wrong cuff size, or replace the published guideline text. Bad measurement in, fancy percentile out, still wrong. Fix the measurement first.
We split the written guides on purpose. The calculator page is the input flow. The chart page is for people who think in paper tables. The hypertension page is about screening limits. Start in the pediatric medicine hub if you want the map.
Install from the product page. If you train residents or clinic staff, walk through one real lookup together. The habit sticks faster than a PDF of charts in a shared drive nobody opens.
